My dad was a great man. He was Born in glasgow in 1941 to Mary & Robert Drummond. He was 1 of 3. Mary was the oldest then dad then Willie. He was an alter boy at one point in his life, dont no how he did it as he had a really bad stutter when he was young. He told us some right storys about it. He met and married mum Rosina McCartney on 01/04/66 yes it was april fools day. Nobody believed that they were really getting married and i dont think any of the family turned up to the church except the best man and maid. Dad was also in a band which was known as Dean Ford & the Gaylords which then went on to become the famous Marmalade. Dad had left the band a long time before they became famous. They moved from glasgow to leeds and went on to have my brother Robert then me. We grew up in a happy family unit until dad became poorly. He started coming home from work and falling straight asleep without eating his tea. Got out of breath really easily. Lost alot of weight, the list just went on. Then he got it confirmed. I always remember his words. "I've got the big C". All our worlds just fell apart. I was only 16 when he died. I now have 2 beautiful little boys. I just wish he could have been around to see them but i know he'll be watching over us all x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x

missing you

Hello dad,i bet your sat up in heaven looking down on us all.
Life on earth aint the same without you here,i miss mum's constant moaning at you about the horseracing n going out.I'm the one who gets all the grief now as i have the same vices as you(wot a suprise!).
Anyway, even after all these years, the pain n tears wont go away. You were my best friend aswell as my father and i never realised how close we were till you passed away.
Youve missed so much though i still feel your looking down upon me incouraging me to better myself every day.Whenever i'm playing a snooker match, pool match or football match,i always think of you either smiling or shaking your head at me in disappointment(our pool season starts 2nite so get that wink n smile ready ok?ha,ha)
I still have no kids of my own though theres plenty of time for that i hope and if i have a boy it'll called ROBERT(after you).
God bless you and keep you safe,
all my love forever more.X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X
